Son of a Sardar lyrics by micky

    Ae ank honi chahide hai,
Bhai mein Guru Gobind Singh Sahib da singh haan, main nahin jane-khane de pairii digda
Jehda Paatshah da paatshah, Satguru Gobind Singh Sahib da puttar hove,
    ude'ch aakad kyun naa hove

    I'm a son of a sardar!

Mere vich vee taan koi maan hai na
Main Guru Gobind Singh Sahib da singh haan.

    I'm a son of a sardar!

Land of five rivers gives birth to these live ninjas
They didn't want us to survive but we ride ninja
I represent the punjabi pride for life ninja
For the khalsa we fight and die ninja, my ninja!

Strap kirpans to the side we catch flight
Praying to waheguru before the sunrise
Sacrifices made by these singhs won't be forgotten
I wouldn't be here if it wasnt for them

Pay homage to the gurus and the khalsa
My forefathers were martyrs and maharajas
Real shaheeds that died for you and me
The plight of the sikhs is alive not deceased
    Its inside of me

Tati tavi te bae gaye Guruji hak di khaatir,
misaal mil nahin sakdi koi inha de baraabar
Desh ghulaam hi rehna si je hondi na hind di chaadar,
Qurbaani dende na je Guru Tegh Bahadur

    [hook]:
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    I'm a son of a sardar!

Me and my ninjas, we all got tiger in us
That punjabi code language, and aint no deciphering us
Haarna is more dangerous to hype ones as us
I known to cause as much anguish as us
When i pick up the mic and buzz!
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    [hook]

Jehdi gal main karn lageya, inho aewain naa jaaneyo
Kise ton na luke ehe tussi vi Pahchaaneyo
Shahidiyaan den di reet inhaan ton chali
    Singh Soorme paunde-ne tirfalli

Jor na sahaaran, kise ton kade naa haaran
Sheesh taleez te rakh ke, jaan desh te vaaran

Soorya Udham Singh ne London jaake taan tabaahi hii karti

    I'm a son of a sardar and a sardarni
My people are into farming no man can harm me
We got our own army, the khalsa
Thats what we call the sarkar of the maharaja, Daswe Paathshah
Guru gobind singh ji, is the king of me
And the ring of sikhs, its our responsibility
To keep the memory of the legendary ten Gs alive
Like guru nanak stopping the rock at panja sahib
And the chaar sahibzade that lost their lives,
And the panj pyaare that were ready to die
Or the 40 mukte, that sacrificed
The story of these saints brings tears to my eyes

    But i i i
    I'm a son of a sardar
Got a khanda hanging from the mirror of my car
Yellin that jaikara like bole so nihal
And if my people hear me holla sat sri akal

    Shaheed Bhai Amarjeet Singh Khemkaran

Shaheed Bhai Amarjeet Singh Khemkaran was born into the household of Sardar Kashmeer Singh & Mata Gurdeep Kaur in the year of 1953 in the village Khemkaran which nears the Pakistan border. Generally people hailing from the Majha area of Panjab are traditionally very fit, athletic and have strong muscular physique. Bhai Amarjeet Singh was no different, and due to this Bhai Sahib was accepted into the Panjab Police in 1972.
In 1978 Bhai Sahib was married to Bibi Malkeet Kaur, daughter of Sardar Gurmej Singh of village Mani Singh wala. In Vaisakhi (April 13) of the the same year the Narkdharis carried out a procession on the sacred land of Amritsar in which the Sikh Gurus and faith were being insulted. A group of Sikhs marched to protest against this procession, the group was fired upon by the Narkdharis with the assistance of police officials which resulted in the martyrdom of 13 Sikhs.

The procession and subsequent massacre outraged the entire Sikh Nation, Sikhs all over the world were left hurt and saddened and demanded justice against the perpetrators.

Shaheedi Of Bhai Anokh Singh Babbar

One day Bhai Sahib was arrested by Vairoval Police in the Amritsar area. For many days Bhai Sahib was kept hanging upside down in the police station. Foot-long metal rods were heated up and hammered into his legs, from the heels upward. A pin was put through his private parts and an electricity connection was attached to it so that he could be shocked. Hot metal rods were also passed through his chest. But the Guru’s Singh took the tortures calmly. All the torturers heard was “Vahiguru”. No cries of pain, no screams.
After the torture, Bhai Sahib was left on the ground, unable to move. The time for Rehraas arrived. Bhai Sahib opened his eyelids but the sockets that held his eyes were hollow. His beautiful beard was soaked in blood. Those eyes which were once lost in deep meditation had been taken out by the dushts.

Bhai Sahib called out, “Sentry! Bhai Sahib Ji, what time is it?” He felt around himself with his hands to find the guard.
“It’s 7.15 Babio. What? What has happend to your eyes??”
The Sentry looked at Bhai Sahib’s face and felt frightened.
“Oh, it must be time for Sodar then. Sodar tera kayhaa…” Bhai Anokh Singh began to recite Rehraas Sahib lying on the ground. Even though his body was shattered, Bhai Sahib recited the paath in a sweet voice. The Sentry too felt the vairaag.
After Sodar, Bhai Sahib, still lying on the ground began Ardaas. It was a daily part of his routine. “Ten Gurus, Punj Pyaaray, Chaar Sahibzaaday, The Guru’s Jhanday and Boongay…” Bhai Sahib then began his personal ardaas: “Hay Akaal Purakh Suchay Paatshah Guru Nanak dev Gareeb Nivaaj Satguru, the day which rose in your bhaaNaa has passed in happiness, meditating on your naam. Suchay Paatshah, night has arrived, may it too pass while remembering your Naam and in your BhaaNaa….Satguru, May I be a Shaheed…Suchay Patshaah, save me from becoming a traitor…Satguru, may the Sikhi and kesh you have given me last with me till my final breaths…Such Paatshah, have mercy on all…. Bolay So Nihaal…Sat Sree Akaal!!”
The Jaikara Bhai Sahib sounded echoed throughout the police station. The Sentry ran to the station-head and surrendered his rifle and tabled his resignation.
“I can’t do this job that forces people to kill saints…I can’t…” He kept repeating himself.
The SSP cursed, “They are all magicians… another of our officers has left the service because of this paath!!”
And then another atrocity was committed. Bhai Sahib’s tongue was cut off using a metal cutting saw. Streams of blood flowed from Bhai Sahib’s mouth but the faithful Singh raised his hands in Ardaas and thanked Vahiguru.
In the end, the police became tired of all this and shot Bhai Sahib in the station. When the shot was fired, a motor cycle was started so that the gun could not be heard. Over night, Bhai Sahib’s body was thrown into the river Beas.

    Khalistan Shaheeds

    Parnaam Shaheeda Nu

Since the inception of the Sikh faith by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Sikhs have been persecuted. Persecution, torture and selfless sacrifice are something that our Gurus have taught us to live by and to endure when necessary. When the time comes to stand for truth, freedom, justice, honour and protection – regardless of the outcome Sikhs should stand firm to their beliefs and should not flinch when carrying out righteous acts.
It is for these reasons that in this section you will be able to learn about the fearless lions that fought the tyrants of pre-1984 and post-1984. The biographies and stories you shall read about these freedom fighters are true actions and have not been glorified or exaggerated. We hope they inspire you as they inspired us.

On Vaisakhi 1978, 13 Sikhs were martyred by the heretical Narkdhari (Nirankari) cult. A Jatha of Singhs had peacefully marched to protest the cult’s repeated insult of Sikh Gurus and faith. The Jatha were fired upon by the Narkdhari Militia who were aided by the Indian Police. The Shaheeds gave their lives but rekindled the Sikh spirit.
On September 26, 1978, another Jatha of peaceful Sikh demonstrators were fired upon by the Narakdhari cult, this time in the city of Kanpur.

    Sant Jarnail Singh

    Early life

Sant Jarnail Singh Jee took Amrit at the tender age of five; from this very young age, being committed to his nitnem (daily prayers), became his lifelong aim. Until the age of 11, he remained in village Rode and would recite 110 Jap Jee Sahibs and the Panj Granthi, daily; all whilst undertaking his farming duties. He remained at his village and was engrossed in meditation for 11 years.

    Damdami Taksal

Every year Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindranwale would tour the villages of Punjab delivering sermons on Gurmat. When Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee arrived at village Rode he asked Baba Joginder Singh Jee for one of his seven sons, Baba Joginder Singh Jee told Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee that they had free will to choose whichever son they wanted; they chose a young boy, Jarnail Singh.

Sant Jarnail Singh Jee was educated in the knowledge of God, by Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee Khalsa. Within a year they learnt the correct pronunciations of Gurbani and the history of the Guru’s. In 1966, Sant Jee was married at Village Bilaspur with Sardar Sucha Singh’s daughter, Bibi Pritam Kaur. He has two sons, Ishar Singh and Inderjeet Singh, born in 1971 and 1975 respectively.

After Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee Khalsa ascended to Sachkand, Sant Kartar Singh Jee, Bhindranwale, was appointed the Jathedar of Damdami Taksal. Sant Kartar Singh Jee, Sant Jarnail Singh Jee and Sant Baba Thakur Singh Jee were very close and would discuss issues of the Panth together.

In 1977 Sant Kartar Singh Jee was involved with a serious car accident which resulted in them being admitted into hospital. Sant Kartar Singh Jee was advised to undergo an operation, which involved removing their Kes, Sant Kartar Singh Jee refused this operation, opting to keep their Kes and their Sikhi intact. Sant Jee told Baba Thakur Singh Jee to appoint the next Jathedar.

Baba Thakur Singh tied the Dastar of Jathedari on Sant Jarnail Singh Jee, after which Takhat Sri Patna Sahib Jathedar, Bhai Mohan Singh Jee presented Sant Jee a Siropa on behalf of the Takhat Sahib.

    Rise to popularity

In Punjab, Sant Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindranwale followed the footsteps of the previous 12 Jathedars of Damdami Taksal and travelled from village to village preaching Sikhism. He asked Sikhs to live according to the rules and tenets of Sikhism. He would give speeches to encourage numerous youths to take Amrit and keep Rehat. For eight months, Sant Jee’s parchaar was continuous, touring villages and cities, including U.P, Bombay, Calcutta and other areas

    Dharam Yudh Morcha

On 26 April 1982, a Morcha (campaign) was started to get Amritsar ‘holy city’ status. Some Singhs of the Jatha and Bhai Amrik Singh Jee, of the All India Sikh Student Federation, (AISSF), were arrested. Sant Jee began the Dharam Yudh Morcha on 19 July 1982 to secure the release of the innocent Singh’s.

    Operation Bluestar

In March 1983, Sant Jee learnt of the Governments plans to wipe out the Sikhs and the possibility of an attack on Sri Harimandar Sahib. In June 1984, this became a reality when Indira Gandhi gave the approval for the Indian army to storm the Golden Temple complex and another 37 Gurdwaras. It was widely reported by Lt. Gen. Kuldip Brar and other army officials that Sant Jee did not survive the attack was killed. The reliability of the army’s claims of Sant Jee being martyred in the attack are contradicted by other officials, R.K. Bajaj, a correspondent for Surya magazine, claimed to have seen a photograph of Sant Jee in custody, while a Governmental doctor claimed that Sant Jee was alive when captured.
